Laura is a best-selling author and broadcaster. After many years in public and commercial radio, she founded The Laura Flanders Show / GRITtv in 2008 to serve as an online channel for in depth conversations with forward-thinking people fromt he worlds of politics, economics, business and the arts. A primetime, daily broadcast, GRITtv with Laura Flanders aired for three years on Free Speech TV before moving to KCET/Linktv and teleSUR, as a weekly program. Flanders is a contributing writer to The Nation and Yes! magazine (“Commonomics”). She is also the author of six books including the New York Times best-seller, BUSHWOMEN: Tales of a Cynical Species (Verso, 2004) and Blue GRIT: True Democrats Take Back Politics from the Politicians (Penguin Press, 2007). The Laura Flanders Show aired nationally on Air America Radio (2004-2008) before which she was the founding host of Your Call, on public radio, KALW, and CounterSpin, the nationally-syndicated radio program from the mediawatch group FAIR. Flanders is a repeat guest on Real Time with Bill Maher and appears regularly on MSNBC. She’s also served as a substitute host for PBS veteran, Bill Moyers.

Monica Mohapatra is an organizer, illustrator, and generalist from Bangalore, India. She's passionate about merging design with radical organizing practice towards the aim of creating sustainable movements for social justice. Before joining the LF team, Monica was a student organizer with the Alliance for Social Change working on issues of gender-based violence and tuition reform; she's also worked with Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM) NYC; the History of Black Girhood forum; RAWR student magazine; The Virginia Literary Review; and the Virginia Film Festival. Monica's writing has been published in 4; Hue; The Declaration; V Magazine; and The Wander Girls. www.cemicool.xyz

Danica D'souza is a former Indian television producer with a background in advertising, videography, and video editing. She has worked with acclaimed international production houses such as MTV Networks, Fremantle Media, and BBC Worldwide before moving to New York to pursue a Masters in Media Studies at The New School. A brief stint at Parsons made her focus her efforts on designing and creating still and motion graphics. She joined The Laura Flanders show to use her design abilities to draw attention towards social, political, and economic issues plaguing society. She is also an avid cook, and in her spare time she loves to cook and share her recipes on her site.
Natascha Elena Uhlmann is a writer and activist from Sonora, Mexico. Her writing has appeared in Truthout, Democracy at Work, Bitch Magazine, and Paste Magazine. She is involved in anti-deportation organizing in NYC and runs Rosa Roja, a photography project in which LGBTQIA subjects explore gender and identity in a safe way. She is way too interested in Marxist geography.
